Technical characteristics:

• NANO MATRIX CARBON: To protect the integrity of carbon frames, the fibers are bonded with epoxy resin with nanoparticles, increasing impact resistance up to 40%
• CARBON FORK: Carbon forks offer great suspension and precise steering. All road bikes have fully carbon forks, from the tube to the bars.
• ANTI WRINKLE SYSTEM: When creating the individual carbon elements, an air chamber is used to ensure there are no wrinkles inside the tube, as these can add weight and affect strength. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.
• X-TAPER HEADTUBE: Tapered head tube with 11/8” bearings on the top side and 11/4” and 11/2” on the bottom to create great resistance and precision, providing safety when driving.
• NACA FASTBACK PROFILE: The aerodynamics of the frame is based on the profile 'teardrop' (teardrop) of the NACA0028 design (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics - American Committee for Aeronautical Studies). Air moves through the frame despite the cutaway rear, saving material and weight.
• INTERNAL CABLE: The brake and/or gear cables are routed inside the frame. It improves the design and aesthetics since the cables are not visible, without any type of disadvantage.
• DI2 READY: The models and frames with the Di2 Ready symbol are prepared to be able to integrate this technology with battery mounting in the saddle or in the stays.
• INTERNAL CLAMP: The frame-integrated seatpost helps minimize turbulence at the top of the tube.
• S-FLEX: Carbon is good at absorbing vibrations but to increase comfort Merida shapes the seatposts to improve comfort with the 'S-Flex' design.
