Dainese is a world reference for motorcycle garments and they have achieved this by their constant innovation and search for quality. Founded by Lino Dainese in 1972, a young cyclist, they very quickly revolutionised the gear world: they were pioneers in the introduction of colours to the leather suits, dressing Giacomo Agostini in the red of MV Agusta, thus breaking the monotony of black on the tracks.
Curiously, the first product manufactured by Lino Dainese was motocross pants and now they are one of the main manufacturers of road gear thanks to their ample catalogue: gloves, jackets, pants, protections and all types of accessories such as backpacks or waterproof and thermal garments.
Dainese has not stopped to advance along the road of constant innovation. They were the first to design a back protector for suits, thanks to the collaboration with Barry Sheene, and also the aerodynamic hump in the ‘90s. Over the last few years we have seen it with the D-Air, the pioneering suit airbag system that has revolutionised the active safety of riders and that is now available to everyone. Competition is a very important part of the Dainese philosophy, equipping many of the current best riders. Nevertheless, the brand’s ambassador is Valentino Rossi, who has relied on Dainese throughout his sports career.
The Dainese garments stand out for their pure Italian tailoring, they fit like a glove as well as being aesthetically immaculate. Their popular logo is even recognised by the neophytes to two wheel topics. Currently, the Italian brand spans almost all of the motorcycling areas and beyond, as they also manufacture urban fashion clothing. One could fill their house with Dainese products, as at Motocard we have all types of complements available from the Italian brand.
Maybe the less known facet of Dainese is their products for winter sports and cycling. So you can also find Dainese’s experience for mountain bike in protections, gloves, jerseys and much more at our Motocard Bike Store.
